Although many products that were formerly made in the USA are being outsourced to other countries, fine upholstered furniture however, is still largely produced domestically. It is nearly impossible to obtain the customization of fabric, trim, and frame styling from off-shore manufacturing. Upholstery manufacturing, remains one industry segment where US jobs remain secure. It is just not cost efficient for custom sofa manufacturing to be based in remote overseas production facilities.
